Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account and using Forrum you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Forrum (forrum.ai).

2. Eligibility

Forrum is exclusively for investment professionals — including but not limited to private equity professionals, venture capital professionals, family office staff, and institutional investors. By registering you confirm you are a professional in this capacity. We reserve the right to reject or revoke access for any account that does not meet this criteria.

3. Your recommendations

You are solely responsible for the content of the recommendations you add to Forrum. By adding a recommendation you confirm that:

• The information is based on genuine professional experience or knowledge
• You have not included false, defamatory, or misleading statements
• You have not included confidential information that you are not permitted to share
• The recommendation does not breach any contractual obligations you have with your employer or any third party

4. Defamation and legal liability

Forrum takes defamation risk seriously. Our platform is designed to minimise this risk:

• Low-rated recommendations (1-2 stars) are never shared outside your organisation
• Individual names are never shared in the community exchange
• Only positive, aggregated firm-level data reaches the exchange network

However, you remain solely liable for any content you add. Forrum accepts no liability for claims arising from content created by users.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use Forrum to:

• Add false, fabricated, or misleading recommendations
• Harass, defame, or damage the reputation of any individual or firm
• Promote services or solicit business from other users
• Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the platform
• Share access credentials with others
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

6. Subscription and billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

Prices may change with 30 days notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

7. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the recommendation content you create. By adding content to Forrum you grant us a licence to store, process, and (where you have opted in to sharing) aggregate that content to operate the service. We will never sell your individual data to third parties.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or terminate the service with reasonable notice. In the event of termination we will provide a data export facility.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forrum's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
